health tech buzz

I am very hopeful for 5 school days this week…..:) you need to be hopeful too.
Seniors: read pgs. 408 to 419 in A&P. Coloring book pgs 236-238 due on Wed. 2/10. We will begin Resp. Therapy this week with a review of the system. Continuing ECGs. and then there is the LAST CHAPTER in law and ethics!! Test on Friday 2/12 with a Respiratory quiz on Thursday 2/11.
Juniors: Terminology table 7.2 and 7.3 with test on Friday. Cardiovascular system began today and continues this week. First quiz is on Thursday 2/11. Coloring pages 203-205 due by Wednesday. DON’T FORGET! Muscle arm quiz on Tuesday 2/9 and muscle leg quiz on Wednesday 2/10.
IF there are any snow days….and I know you are all hoping for at least one…all assignments will be moved up one day….so don’t think you will get out of any of it!!! Mrs. R.

Seniors: Project presentation practice every day….you have the schedule..3 a day. Need board and 8-10 minutes of material.
Juniors: lets see what the week brings….cardiac system/ terminology/ skills/ We have it all!!
And for those of you that read this ~ I went to Akron Children’s today to see AR and the baby. Baby is still in serious condition: on the ventilator, with an NG tube for feeding, a PICC line, drugs for sedation, and still loaded with pneumonia on the right side. she will probably be in PICU this week still and then a week on the floor. AR is doing better, but the baby has lost weight. AR will keep us posted. She appreciates all prayers, thoughts and encouragements…..thanks. Mrs. R.

wellllll….here it is you all….the storm of February. so please be careful if you are out ~ which you shouldn’t be since we have a level 2 snow emergency. I am hopeful all of you will use your heads and be cautious if you are out.
Seniors will be working on L&E chap. 12 as well as reading the next portion of the Lymph System. Also make sure you review the first part of the ECG notes.
Juniors will be working on reading the first part of the cardiac system. and we will discuss terminology on Monday. and the coloring book pages coming up. Don’t forget the arm muscle quiz is on Tuesday Feb. 9th and the leg muscle quiz is on Thursday Feb. 11th.

Juniors will go over some muscles…..hmmmmm…wonder which ones????

Thanks to brit and chels we have a BAKE SALE on Saturday the 30th of January at Fin, Feather, Fur from 9am to 3pm. All students need to bring baked goods to school if you cannot work the sale by Friday the 29th. Sign up will be on Monday the 25th.

this week….only two days left…here’s the scoop for you fabulous students in Health Tech:
Juniors: you know the ropes. Friday is the terminology 5.3b test. There is also a quiz on muscles – initial notes taken in class. You have the face muscles and have read the material over those. Thursday you will add notes on shoulder girdle and chest. Don’t forget Monday the 25th is your quiz on the face/head muscles.
Seniors: same drill, different week. Friday chapter 9 in Law and Ethics test. If you have done the practice test I can check answers tomorrow. More on Endocrine…Test is Monday the 25th…review is friday.
Both Classes: DO NOT FORGET COLORING BOOK, READING AND REVIEW.

Snow day last Friday!! So, I am hoping you are all rested up and ready for this week.
Seniors: you have COMPASS testing on Tuesday the 12th. Friday is the Health Fair. SO….Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday is putting together your display boards for the health fair and getting ready for that.
